ABSTRACT
The article reports on the acquisition of Marpetrol by Sovcomflot and Novoship. Both companies each bought a fifty percent stake in Marpetrol, which owns and operates a fleet of 12 double-hulled chemical tankers. The acquisition marks Sovcomflot's and Novoship's entry into the chemical tanker market and further broadens the range of shipping services the companies can offer their international and Russian clients.
