ABSTRACT
Career developments involving firefighters in the U.S. are discussed. Susan Labrie has been appointed as the Fire Chief of Goshen, Massachusetts. Douglas Fry has been named as the Fire Chief of the newly formed Belmont-San Carlos Fire Department in California. Rick Gimbl has been presented with the New York State Firefighter of the Year Award by the Firemen's Association of the State of New York, in recognition for rescuing an unconscious 280-pound man from a blazing trailer.
