ABSTRACT
The article announces the seven finalists of the for the 2006 Fire Service Award for Excellence by the International Association of Fire Chiefs in the U.S. They include, the Fire Department and Traffic Management Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the Fire and Rescue Department in Fairfax County, Virginia, and the Fire and Emergency Services in Gresham, Oregon. The announcement of the winner will be held on September 14, 2006 at Fire Rescue International in Dallas, Texas.
