The article focuses on the case regarding an exacerbation of ulcerative colitis induced by combination therapy with PEG- interferon and ribavirin. This case involves a man with chronic hepatitis C presented with diarrhea and bloody stools in July 2003. It was found through a biopsy that the lesion confirmed the diagnosis and treatment was initiated with mesalazine. Moreover, a case of ulcerative colitis caused by the combination therapy in PEG-IFN and ribavirin for hepatitis C.
