ABSTRACT
The article comments on the squid-fishing season in Cape Cod, Massachusetts in 1980. The fishing season for squid in the region lasts only for a month, after which all the squid are driven away by the blues. When the squid-fishing season is done, fishermen shift their focus to catching blues, bonito and scup.
