ABSTRACT
The article reports on the global crude steel production for the 62 countries reporting to the International Iron and Steel Institute as of November 2006. Excluding China, world production rose 4.1 percent compared to September 2005. China remains the largest steel producing country in the world with total crude steel production of 36.2 million tons in September 2006.
