Stainless Production Increases Worldwide

The article reports on the increase in the worldwide stainless production in the first part of 2006. According to the International Stainless Steel Forum, production during the period stood at 13.9 million metric tons. In Asia, stainless steel melting grew by 8.1 percent to 7.1 million tons. Production in the Central and Eastern Europe region increased by 24 percent.
