Freescale CEO throws down network quality challenge to hasten 3G roll-out

According to Michel Mayer, chairman and CEO of Freescale Semiconductor Inc., the reason for the slow roll-out of the technology 3G is due to the quality of service issues. There is much to be done before every basestation is upgraded to 3G. He expressed his view that the consumers should have forced the industry to make the capital investment to improve the network.
