Structure Fires, Civilian Deaths Decline

The article discusses the report from the "NFPA Journal" which showed that there were an estimated 511,000 structure fires in 2005. The report states that public fire departments responded to just more than 1.6 million fires in the U.S. It also estimates that there were 31,500 intentionally set structure fires in 2005. Moreover, there were an estimated 21,000 intentionally set vehicle fires in 2005.
