TI Debuts DSP Additions

The article reports on the decision of Texas Instruments Inc. to expand its C5000 digital signal processor (DSP) platform with the release of a new ultra low power TMS320C5506 DSP and a new Bluetooth-enabled hands free kit (HFK) reference design. Texas Instruments will also release the new HFK reference design, for use with the new TMS320C54HFK DSP, which the company said provides original equipment manufacturers with all the necessary hardware and software.
