ABSTRACT
The article reports on the installation of a fuel cell at Caffaro chlorate production plant in Berscia, Italy. The installation uses hydrogen produced as a by-product of chlorate manufacture to generate electricity fed directly back into the process. It will reducing operating costs and greenhouse gas emissions, according to fuel cell developer Nuvera Fuel Cells. Caffaro president Andrea Mattiussi offers a statement on the fuel cell installation.
