The article reports on the move of chemical firm Sabic to cut its linear low-density polyethylene allocations to buyers for July and August 2006. The move is due to technical problems at one of its plants which has sparked a shortage in supplies and rising prices. Sabic has cut allocations by some 30% as it struggled with technical problems at one of its plants in Al-Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
