ABSTRACT
The article discusses the findings of a study on the global chemicals industry supply chain. The study was conducted by Accenture in an effort to identify the best practices in the chemicals industry supply chain. It included more than 250 company business units and more than 1000 people across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. The study concluded that chemicals companies rarely place emphasis on the strategic hiring and training of supply-chain professionals.
