ABSTRACT
The article offers a look on Durkheim and British sociology institutionalization in Great Britain. The Sociological Society was established in 1904 to provide a meeting for discussion of developments in sociology. It provides information about the members of the society and start of the journal publication and contribution of other sociologist like Bernard Bosanquet who referred to Durkheim's work as most original and suggestive works of modern sociology. It explains as to why Durkheim reputation collapsed in early British sociology and how Parsons was able to restore Durkheim in the back to the English society.
