ABSTRACT
The article argues that courses in professional audio production in the United States that combine audio and video education, with the view that their graduates will be able to go into either field with the same ease, might be raising false hopes. That is because, the skill sets and the brain functions required to work with visuals are quite different from those that are used in working with audio.
