The article reports on the vagaries of the European ArrestWarrant (EAW) system highlighted by Dutch transport lawyer Han Vallenduuk in his report titled Alone in the World on the plight of truck drivers in foreign jails. Vallenduuk says his report highlights the impact of the EAW on accused drivers. Under the system truck drivers can be extradited to face legal proceedings in another European country.
