Gifts that keep on giving: The latest in medically relevant gifts

The article reports on the gifts given to physicians by pharmaceutical representatives in the U.S. Growing number of physicians are aware of the gift giving while some view the gesture less favorable. The American Medical Student Association ban all pharmaceutical marketing in its publications and events and encourages medical students to ban any gifts from drug companies. The practice could cut down valuable interactions and dissemination of safe prescribing and dosaging information.
