La-Z-Boy closing 6 Kincaid stores

The article reports that La-Z-Boy will close six dealer-operated Kincaid Home Furnishings stores in South Carolina and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The move will streamline the number of Kincaid stores into 15 units. The company has hired Mike Smith of M.G. Smith to handle the closing sales in both markets. Smith estimates that the South Carolina liquidation will generate sales of $3.5 million to $4 million.
