ABSTRACT
This article evaluates several television advertisements launched in the U.S. as of September 27, 1999. Y&R Advertising's idiotic campaign, Are you an UN?, for the drink brand 7 Up has mercifully been euthanized, but eight of the nine spots in the new effort suggest meager progress. One of Euro RSCG Worldwide's television spot shows a young couple looking for a place in their apartment to put their ultra-flat Philips television. Words are useless to describe how the music, acting, direction and editing come together in the spot. A FCB Worldwide's spot for Jeep shows the hand of God creating Earth and all living things, is an impressive production.
