This article reports on the selection by a Catholic nonprofit organization of iConnect.com to launch Catholic Families Network, a Web access service and portal, as of September 1999. This is the first private-label service launched by iConnect, a startup founded by people with backgrounds in direct marketing and affinity marketing. So-called vanity or private-label Internet service providers (ISP) are a growing trends as ISP try to differentiate themselves from the competition. This is an opportunity for a marketer to develop a deeper relationships with their customers.
