ABSTRACT
This article reports on the positive market performance of Lamisil AT footcare cream in the U.S., as of September 1999. Lamisil has claimed a 39.9 percent share of the over-the-counter (OTC) fungal cream segment. Lamisil's move to OTC prior to its patent removal may not be that unusual, considering consumer patterns in the footcare market. The marketing effort behind the brand may have convinced more people to seek treatment with other products in the category.
