ABSTRACT
This article reports on the Flip & Shout advertising campaign for Samsung wireless flip phones in the U.S. as of September 1999. Samsung Electronics America will launch an estimated $20 million brand elevation effort. That will highlight products such as digital wireless phones, high-definition TV systems, liquid crystal display computer monitors, and a portable music player called Yepp. The campaign will feature two TV spots in October, print in November magazines, and online advertisements. Another advertising effort in 2000 will leverage the company's exclusive wireless-phone Olympic sponsorship, featuring various telecommunications products.
