The article reports on the rapid development of online retailing of tourism-related businesses as more than a quarter of Australian have visited travel websites. According to Arthur Hoffman managing director of Expedia Australia, the research conducted by the Neilsen Net Ratings indicates that more than 5.3 million Australian have visited travel websites for the month of June, a figure that implies online travel. He added that as Australian site are geared towards Australian preferences.
