ABSTRACT
The article reflects on things that the author learned from her grandmother on her farm in Georgia. When the author was eight years old, her mother had to be hospitalized for several months. Her father had to worked full-time so she spend most of her time with her grandmother. One summer morning, her grandmother brought her at the garden where they pick some okra for supper.
