The article reflects on the friendship of the author with Guideposts cofounder Ruth Stafford Peale. Peale is the daughter of Reverend Frank Burton Stafford who is a poor but hardworking Methodist minister. She has always been a trouper. She took on the administration so his husband could work freely on his sermons and speeches.
