ABSTRACT
This article reports that the Public Employee Retirement Administration Commission (PERAC), the governing board that oversees the Massachusetts public pension systems, has decided to increase the percentage that pension funds are allowed to allocate to hedge fund. PERAC executive director Joseph Connarton explained that the decision comes after several boards requested higher hedge fund allocations and required a change to the overall hedge fund investment guidelines.
