ABSTRACT
The article discusses the history of homosexuality. Homoerotic behavior has been a common behavior and an accepted part of the ancient culture. There is no evidence that any ancient society ever persecuted anyone for sexual variance. Free expression of sexuality has been allowed by the ancient matriarchal cultures. The homosexual practices in ancient Greece, Rome, and other ancient Eastern cultures are also cited.
