ABSTRACT
The article reports on the completion of a major installation project for French subscription television service Canal Plus by Sony Broadcast. Canal's Studio and Distribution Centre has an auditorium studio equipped with control rooms. Videotape recorders and Vision Mixers were made available to perform live transmission, rehearsal and post-production. All signals are handled in the 625 line PAL standard, being transcoded to SECAM and mixed in the TDF area.
