This article deals with the opportunity presented by digital advertising to multichannel retailers to leverage their media platforms and create new revenue sources. Information is presented on a barrier to the broader adoption of online advertising. The range of Internet- and information-based marketing assets developed by retailers is discussed, as well as strategies for digital advertising efforts.
