ABSTRACT
The article discusses the different stages of adopting master data management and customer data integration solutions in a business. Information is presented on the level of risks associated with businesses that lacks defined rules or processes regarding data management. A big percentage of businesses fall into the reactive stage. There is a resemblance between data management initiatives and customer relationship management-type implementations at stage three.
