ABSTRACT
This article focuses on the burgeoning contact center market in China. The projected increase in the number of agent positions from 2004-2009 is discussed. Several factors have contributed to the growing interest in China's contact center market such as low labor costs. There are barriers to the growth of the Chinese contact center market: high setup capital investment, high telecommunication charges from lack of competition and lack of experienced personnel.
