ABSTRACT
The article questions whether digital video recording (DVR) is a blessing or curse for advertisers. Information is presented on TiVo's Audience Research and Measurement. Tom Rogers, CEO and president of TiVO, commented that TiVo could transform the way advertising is created, bought and delivered to customers. There is a potential problem with the opt-in service, according to Andrew Frank, research director at Gartner. Several advertisers still view DVR as a threat.
