ABSTRACT
The article reports that home furnishings specialty retailer Pier 1 Imports Inc. has posted 13.1% decline in its sales in the U.S. in October 2006. It has reported sales of $114.1 million for the four-week period ended October 28, 2006, down from $131.3 million for the same period in 2005. According to the company, its continued struggle to get customers is one of the major reasons behind the decline in its sales.
