ABSTRACT
The article presents information related to Marina Rikhvanova, winner of the World Savers Environmental Award 2006 and runner ups Dakio Paul, Sebastian Chuwa and Ketut Sarjana Putra. Rikhvanova is fighting a battle with government of Russia and a multi-billion-dollar oil pipeline to save Lake Baikal. Ketut Sarjana Putra, a native of Bali, is fighting to save turtles in the country.
