The article reports on the partnership for measuring hand hygiene compliance in health care. The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations agreed for an 18-month project with several infection control leadership organizations to identify approaches for measuring compliance with hand hygiene guidelines in health care organizations. The partnership will include an educational monograph that suggests practices for measuring hand hygiene compliance.
