ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the importance of nurses in health care improvement in Canada. Marlene Smadu, president of the Canadian Nurses Association and associate dean in nursing at the University of Saskatchewan, said that nurses are valuable in enhancing access to health care and that they have gained the highest level of public trust of all health professions, for their knowledge and being compassion and caring.
