ABSTRACT
The article offers news briefs on the chemical industry. Chemical plants will be built by U.S. chemicals and metals group Engelhard in Great Britain and Canada to manufacture petroleum catalysts. A merger between Dongbu Chemical and agrochemical producer Han Nong was confirmed in an announcement from the South Korea Stock Exchange. A controlling share of Indian market leader ABS Industries will be acquired by Bayer.
