ABSTRACT
The article reports on the increase in the net earnings of Bahrain-based Gulf Petrochemical Industries Co. (GPIC) for the third quarter of 2006. Total plant output was 1.1m tonnes, an increase of 15% from 2005, with a 22% rise in total exports, compared with the same period last year. GPIC chairman, Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalfia, said that the company was considering investment opportunities that would be feasible to its partners.
