ABSTRACT
The article reports on the increase in the net earnings of Saudi Arabia Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC) in the third quarter of 2006, boosted by robust chemical prices and sales volumes. Net earnings in the three months ended September surged to 5.4bn riyals. SABIC benefited from a spike in chemical prices earlier this year as the price of crude oil rose.
