ABSTRACT
The article provides information on the patrol vessels used in naval operations. Patrol vessels prevent intrusion and unauthorised activities from being involved in anti-smuggling and anti-piracy operations as well as fishery patrol. Almaz, Austal and the Damen Group are among the companies that dominate the medium-sized patrol boat market. Dockstavarvet is developing a patrol boat version of the Combat Boat 90 with limited capability Saab combat system and stabilised weapon mount.
