ABSTRACT
The article reports on the propylene oxide (PO) facility of BASF and Dow Chemical in Antwerp, Belgium. The facility, due on stream in 2008, is notable for using technology based on hydrogen peroxide feedstock. This has been a joint development over the past three years. Furthermore, a third company, Solvay, has made considerable advances to increase hydrogen peroxide output to meet the PO unit's demands.
