ABSTRACT
The article reports that the restructuring vote of the supervisory board of Bayer Industry Services (BIS) will threaten German jobs as of October 2006. Boston Consulting is reviewing all operations at the company, a joint venture of Bayer and Lanxess, and benchmarking them against other service providers. Lanxess has said repeatedly it is prepared to draw only competitively priced services from BIS.
