ABSTRACT
The article reports on a joint venture between Rhodia and investment bank Societe Generale as of October 2006. The joint venture will carry their carbon dioxide trading activities and capitalise on Rhodia's certified emission reduction supply. According to Phillippe Rosier, president of Orbeo, by creating Orbeo, a unique carbon trading organisation in the market, the trading expertise of Societe Generale will be united with Rhodia's extensive emissions credit.
