PTA market feels pressure

The article reports on the challenges faced by purified terephthalic acid (PTA) producers in Asia with regards to PTA prices and feedstock costs. One Singapore trader pointed out that there will be a lot of pressure on PTA makers to sell at competitive prices in October 2006, if they do not sell for two consecutive months, their inventories will pile up.
