ABSTRACT
This article presents a sales forecast on the pharmaceutical industry in France. A slow growth in French pharmaceutical sales is expected due to a decline in consumption that has been deliberately engineered by the French government to contain the huge Social Security deficit. The government has been encouraging physicians to prescribe fewer drugs to patients.
