ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the methods used sound recording by Austinian composer Graham Reynolds for the soundtrack of the film "A Scanner Darkly." His arrangement would include his local group Golden Arm Trio which consists of players in saxophone, upright bass, piano, vibes and drums. He made his recording into MOTU's Digital Performer using a MOTU 896HD interface and a collection of cheap mics. He has used ranges of drums from 20-inch to 4-inch-wide with the variety of beaters.
