ABSTRACT
The article reports on the manufacturing facility launched by STMicroelectronics and Hynix Semiconductor in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, China in 2006. The facility will manufacture both Not-And (NAND) flash memory and dynamic random access memory. The companies expect that the facility would expand manufacturing capacity of Hynix and strengthen its position in the Chinese semiconductor market.
