ABSTRACT
The article reports on the efforts of the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA) to push for regulatory amendments that would allow superannuation funds to play a greater role in the provision of financial education. ASFA is recommending that a new definition of financial advice be developed to educate members about superannuation. Likewise, it argues that the boundaries between information, general advice, and personal advice remain uncertain.
