ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the steady growth of romance novels sales in the market. According to Romance Writer's Association (RWA), romance novels still represent about 40% of all fiction titles sold and produce about $1.2 billion every year. RWA spokesperson Nicole Kennedy claims that the fastest growing sub-genre are still paranormal and romantic suspense novels. Moreover, contemporaries and inspirational titles experienced huge increases in 2004 while historical titles remained even.
