The article focuses on the developments made to the design features of Medium-Voltage (MV) distribution networks in Russia. It comes with an advanced instrumentation that allows operational engineers to substantially improve the dependability and reliability of MV substations. Its previous design and construction specifications were known to have a substandard quality and its MV network supply seemed to get easily interrupted. But with its developments, a more reliable network was established.
